Head of Finance Operations Location: Newbridge, Co. Kildare (hybrid, minimum 3 days in office) Type: Full-time, permanent We are seeking an experienced finance leader for our client to oversee finance operations, ensuring efficient delivery of financial processing, reporting, compliance, and internal controls. This role will drive process improvements, systems optimisation, and team leadership to support the organisations financial integrity and performance. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage finance operations including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, pensions, banking, taxation, general ledger, and systems administration. Ensure accurate and timely financial processing, reporting, and month/year-end close. Oversee cash flow forecasting and banking relationships. Strengthen and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Support internal and external audits and statutory obligations. Drive efficiency, automation, and transformation of financial systems and processes. Collaborate with finance leadership teams and key stakeholders. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team. Develop and monitor KPIs for operational performance. Qualifications & Experience Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with a degree in finance, accounting, or related field. 1015+ years post-qualification experience, including at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role. Experience managing shared services and delivering finance transformation initiatives. Strong ERP systems knowledge (e.g., Sun, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). Proven track record in change management, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. ESG reporting experience desirable.
