Reperio has partnered with a leading organisation in the financial services sector seeking an experienced Senior Java Software Engineer with strong backend expertise.
This hybrid role (2 days onsite per week) involves working on cutting-edge backend services and cloud-based solutions as part of a high-performing engineering team. Interviews and hiring are taking place immediately, and candidates must have a maximum notice period of 2 weeks.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver scalable backend solutions
2. Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making
3. Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning
4. Ensure code quality through best practices, testing, and peer reviews
5. Work closely with stakeholders to meet delivery timelines and project goals
Requirements:
6. 8+ years' commercial development experience with strong expertise in Java (21+) and Spring Boot
7. Solid background in SQL, building microservices and web services
8. Proficiency with Git, JUnit, and working in Agile environments
9. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
10. Skilled in Docker and Kubernetes for containerisation and orchestration
11. Beneficial: Additional languages (C#, Python, PHP, R) and third-party system integrations
