Overview
As a Healthcare Assistant – Rapid Response, you will provide urgent, hands‑on care to people in their own homes, supporting those who need immediate help, covering essential visits, and helping clients stay safe, comfortable and independent. This fast‑paced, community‑based role is ideal for carers who are confident, compassionate and ready to step in when it matters most.
Responsibilities
Responsible for staff shadowing, ensuring Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Undertake emergency rapid response work (filling new packages and discharges).
Evaluate and monitor the quality of care delivered to clients and report any concerns to the area manager.
Check and collect journal notes from clients’ houses.
Deliver care plans, log sheets and gloves to clients’ homes when required.
Deliver PPE to clients’ homes.
Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience
At least 1 year of homecare experience in Ireland.
Full QQI level 5 in Health & Social care.
Hold a full driving licence with access to a car.
Good standard of English – both spoken and written.
Must be available to work alternative weekends.
