The Role:
* Financial Administration: Day-to-day bookkeeping, managing purchase orders, monthly bank reconciliations, and VAT compliance.
* Budgeting: Preparing detailed budgets for major society events and reporting on financial outcomes.
* Event Support: Join the broader events team to assist with the coordination, registration, and delivery of high-profile member-facing events.
* Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for members and the society committee, delivering excellent service and professional communication.
What you need:
* Experience: 1+ years in a Finance or Accounts role is essential.
* Industry Background: Experience in event management or the hospitality sector is a distinct advantage.
* Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in accounting software (Sage/Excel).
* Attributes: High level of professionalism, ability to work under pressure, and a proactive "can-do" attitude.
* Flexibility: Availability to attend events outside of regular office hours when required.
