Junior EHS Advisor – CorkConstructionRole OverviewThe Junior EHS Advisor will support the EHS Manager and site teams in implementing and maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance across construction projects. The role involves assisting with site audits, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and incident investigations, while promoting a strong safety-first culture on site.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with site audits and inspections to ensure compliance with H&S, environmental legislation, and company proceduresSupport the preparation and review of risk assessments and method statementsDeliver toolbox talks and basic HSE training under guidanceAssist with incident, accident, and near-miss investigationsMonitor PPE, safety signage, and emergency procedures on siteSupport the implementation of site-specific Construction Health & Safety PlansMaintain accurate HSE documentation, including permits, inspections, certifications, and subcontractor recordsPromote environmental initiatives such as waste management and spill controlAssist during regulatory inspections and liaise with site teams on HSE best practicesKey CompetenciesBasic knowledge of EHS legislation, risk assessment, and hazard identificationStrong communication and interpersonal skillsTeam-oriented with a proactive and positive attitudeHigh attention to detail and strong organisational skillsWillingness to learn and develop within an EHS roleEducation & ExperienceMinimum Level 6 qualification in Health & Safety or related disciplinePrevious experience in an EHS role within construction (internships or graduate roles acceptable)Familiarity with EHS management systems and compliance auditsKnowledge of construction safety and environmental legislationCommitment to continuous professional developmentBenefits21 days annual leave (increasing with service)Company pension schemeLaptop and mobile phone providedCompany sick pay schemeCycle to Work SchemeOngoing training, CPD, and development opportunitiesEmployee Assistance Programme (EAP)Regular social events and wellbeing initiatives
