Lead Care Coordinator Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a lead care coordinator to join a new residential centre in Kildare and make a positive difference in the lives of the people they support.
The centre provides day, residential, short breaks, community supports, rehabilitative training and multi-disciplinary supports, empowering individuals with disabilities to live self-directed lives in an equal and inclusive society.
Overview of Role
The Lead Care Coordinator has responsibility for the effective and efficient provision and operation of person-centred services to adults and children in specified designated centres, ensuring compliance with legislation and HIQA requirements.
Purpose of Role: To provide strong leadership in clinical practice and act as a resource and role model for clinical practice, ensuring all relevant records and documentation are kept appropriately and up to date.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide leadership, supervision and support to Nursing and Support teams in the provision of clinical and care support services, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of nursing standards, protocols and guidelines consistent with the highest standards of care, promoting evidence-based practice.
* Be responsible for the direction and running of the unit, ensuring a home-like atmosphere and catering for the health, recreational and other needs of the people we support.
Essential Criteria
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in a management or supervisory role in health or social care, preferably in a leadership position.
* Registered with the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) or entitled to be so registered.
* A relevant management qualification, demonstrating expertise in strategic planning and operational management.
* Candidates must demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
* A proven track record of managing a residential service meeting quality, regulatory/legislative requirements, and achieving excellent outcomes for service users.
* A proven track record of budget management and strong management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Experience of report writing, personal support plans, roster management and excellent IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
