Product Technologist – Food & Home Licenced Goods & Gifting
12-month fixed term contract
What You’ll Do
You’ll play a key role in ensuring that every product developed and supplied to Primark meets international Quality Assurance Standards and Regulations. Working in collaboration with our buying teams, suppliers, and key stakeholders, you’ll help establish and uphold best practices so that we consistently deliver products that meet and exceed the expectations of our customers.
* Support the delivery of Primark’s Quality Strategy across all home categories, with a key focus on food, gifting, and licensed products.
* Use your technical expertise to make sure products are safe, legal, and fit for purpose, with particular attention to food safety compliance.
* Review testing results and ensure products meet international quality, safety, and regulatory standards before approval and sign-off.
* Carry out risk assessments, benchmarking, and competitor comparisons to maintain best-in-class product performance.
* Collaborate with Buying, Compliance, and Supplier teams to resolve quality issues quickly and effectively.
* Monitor product performance and returns, working with suppliers to drive improvements and reduce future risks.
* Build strong supplier relationships by sharing quality standards, supporting improvements, and driving process efficiencies.
* Represent Quality Assurance within the department through clear communication, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Coach and develop others by providing training, feedback, and support through the Primark Quality Academy and supplier workshops.
* Stay ahead of industry trends, innovations, and legal requirements to proactively support safe, sustainable, and customer-focused product development.
