Vendor Management Analyst

Job Purpose
We are seeking a Vendor Management Analyst to support the Group Lead Vendor Manager in the day-to-day management and governance of EirGrid’s critical vendor ecosystem. This role contributes to the effective monitoring, performance assessment, and strategic oversight of vendors across the Group, ensuring that third-party relationships are delivering value, remain compliant, and align with EirGrid’s operational and regulatory obligations.
The successful candidate will support cross-functional collaboration with departments such as Procurement, Legal, Cybersecurity, IT, Operations, and Finance, and contribute to the continuous improvement of EirGrid’s vendor governance framework.
Key Responsibilities
* Vendor Governance & Performance Monitoring
* Support the rollout and application of EirGrid’s Vendor Management Framework and processes across all business units.
* Monitor and report on vendor performance using service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and balanced scorecards.
* Risk, Compliance & Assurance
* Assist in the management of vendor risk assessments, including due diligence on financial, operational, and cybersecurity risks.
* Ensure vendors adhere to contractual obligations and compliance requirements, including GDPR, health & safety, and EirGrid Group policies.
* Support audit processes and regulatory reporting where third-party relationships are in scope.
* Contract & Lifecycle Management
* Monitor key contract dates such as renewals, expirations, and obligations to ensure timely action and compliance.
* Collaborate with Procurement and Legal teams to support contract change processes, service reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Data Management & Reporting
* Maintain up-to-date vendor information in internal databases and systems (e.g., ERP, vendor dashboards).
* Generate regular and ad hoc reports on vendor performance, spend, and risk to support strategic decision-making.
* Stakeholder Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
* Build relationships with internal contract owners and business units to support vendor engagement and accountability.
* Identify opportunities to improve vendor management processes, templates, and governance structures.
* About You
* A primary degree in Business, Supply Chain, Law, Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in vendor management, procurement, contract management, or supplier governance.
* Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
* Proficiency in ERP usage, Microsoft Excel and/or Power BI for reporting and data analysis.
* Desirable
* Experience working in or with a regulated utility, energy company, or large infrastructure organisation.
* Knowledge of Irish and EU public procurement rules and Utilities Directive (2014/25/EU).
* Familiarity with vendor management systems, ERP tools or contract lifecycle platforms.
* Understanding of cybersecurity, ESG, and risk frameworks in a vendor management context.
