Job Description:
Mechanical quantity surveyors play a vital role in ensuring the success of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for all project phases, including tender documents, contracts, drawings, Bills of Quantities (BoQ), specifications, budgets, and maintaining precise records.
* Material Management: Perform material take-offs prior to purchase requisitions for projects and report any irregularities or discrepancies to project management.
* Post-Contract Duties: Implement measurements, final accounts, evaluation reports, payment applications, and agreements with clients as per contractual obligations.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to ensure that measurements, variations, and contractual matters are properly recorded and notified.
* Subcontractor Management: Manage, examine, control, and evaluate subcontractor works, claims, variations, invoices, and ensure contractual obligations are satisfied.
* Procurement: Evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring quantities and specifications align with tender and project specifications, and prepare and update material status and procurement schedules.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree: In quantity surveying or mechanical engineering.
* Experience: 5+ years of quantity surveying/mechanical engineering experience.
* Technical Knowledge: Practical knowledge of all phases of contract development, award, administration, and close-out relating to multi-discipline civil/construction projects.
* Project Management: Capability to accept responsibilities and accomplish project objectives in a timely manner.
* Interpersonal Skills: Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
* Communication: Good communication skills and strong English capability.
