We are looking for a Design Engineer to support the engineering team in providing solutions within the Recycling and Heavy Engineering sectors. The successful candidate will be motivated and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Design large components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
* Produce Bills of Materials and update documentation.
* Create 3D models and detailed drawings for manufacturing.
* Assist with design modifications to ensure continuous improvement of existing products.
* Design structural support work, access platforms, and material handling machinery.
* Interact with customers, support the supply chain, and assist with production.
Key Attributes
* Relevant third-level qualification/Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role; experience in heavy engineering is an advantage.
* Proficiency in using SolidWorks design software is essential.
* Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong interpersonal skills.
* Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to work under tight deadlines.
* Must be flexible.
* Strong intellectual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Must be legally entitled to work in Ireland. This position requires an immediate start, and processing a work permit will not allow for this.
