Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Project Engineer with a strong background in managing the construction and fit-out of cleanroom facilities. This individual will lead complex capital projects from concept through to execution, ensuring delivery to high standards of safety, quality, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage full lifecycle of capital projects, particularly those involving cleanroom builds and upgrades, including design, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, construction oversight, and commissioning.
* Ensure integration of health, safety, and environmental best practices into all phases of project design and execution.
* Prepare and manage capital expenditure requests, project scopes, cost estimates, and resource planning.
* Develop comprehensive project documentation including specifications, drawings, technical procedures, and tender packages.
* Coordinate and supervise works related to facilities, utilities, HVAC, cleanroom environments, electrical systems, chillers, and compressors.
* Oversee contractors on site and ensure all work is delivered to spec, on time, and in compliance with relevant safety and GMP standards.
* Liaise cross-functionally to minimise disruption to operations and ensure seamless integration of project outputs into day-to-day site activity.
* Provide engineering leadership and guidance to cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and high performance.
* Apply engineering and scientific principles to drive robust problem-solving and continuous improvement.
* Act as a key representative for project engineering on cross-departmental and client-facing initiatives.
* Champion innovation and challenge existing processes by identifying opportunities for performance enhancement.
* Deliver clear and effective communication across all levels of the organisation, including formal presentations and project updates.
Candidate Requirements
* Level 8 degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Building Services preferred), or equivalent qualification.
* 3–8+ years of experience in project engineering roles, with demonstrable success in cleanroom or controlled environment construction projects.
* Proven track record of executing projects within GMP-regulated environments (biopharma, pharma, medtech, etc.).
* Strong understanding of utilities, HVAC systems, and cleanroom construction standards.
* Ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage contractors, and coordinate complex scopes of work.
* Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail and accountability for results.
