Deli Manager - Full TimeJob descriptionCorrib Oil Group is one of Ireland's fastest growing forecourt retailers. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deli Manager based in our Parkway Store. The successful candidate should have managerial experience, preferably in a forecourt environment. This is an excellent opportunity for career progression. This is a full- time role and successful applicants must be fully flexible to work hours to meet the store requirements.Previous fresh food experience at a supervisory level is required.Objective #HPEnsure delivery of delicatessen targets (both in terms of sales, profitability and compliance with Hygiene Standards) through the effective management of delicatessen area and the personnel.ManagementThe recruitment, training and development of high quality personnel for the delicatessen areaMaintain training records and ensure refresher training is provided to personnel in the area as appropriateRostering and general management of personnel to ensure adequate cover within budgetary provisionsManaging the overall performance of the delicatessen areaEnsure delicatessen team is motivatedEnsure delicatessen team comply with requirements of the area in terms of hygiene etc.Food ManagementEnsure effective & compliant HACCP control systems are in placeEnsure policies and procedures pertaining to fresh food are implemented and managedEnsure area operates within relevant legislation in terms of HACCPEnsure you are up to date on all aspects HACCP and food hygiene requirements and communicate same to store management and personnelEnsure food safety policy is updated and complied with appropriatelyEnsure employees comply with good food hygiene practicesEnsure regular cleaning of deli area and equipmentEnsure relevant protective clothing is provided and wornEnsure critical control points are identified and monitoredEnsure systems in place for temperature checking and food hygieneEnsure corrective action put in place for critical control pointsEnsure the appropriate waste management records are maintainedEnsure appropriate controls are in place for fresh and red meatsStock ManagementEnsure effective stock control systems are in place ensuring stock is rotated accordingly and out of date stock is discarded appropriatelyEnsure wastage's in the delicatessen area are maintained at a minimum level through effect management of the stockEnsure effective food management and waste systems are implemented, managed and updated appropriatelyIdentify areas of stock leakage and ensure effective systems are in place to minimise stock loss (e.g. through wastage, damages)GeneralTo undertake other additional duties as may be assigned by the store managerFinanceManaging budgets for the delicatessen areaEnsure overheads are controlled and minimised where appropriateEnsure delicatessen sales are maximisedEnsure delicatessen margins are managed appropriately and profitability of the area is maximisedPromote sales within the delicatessen area & achieve sales targets as established by the store managerMeet targets as agreed including the achievement of the required profit margin for the areaOperationsEnsure delicatessen runs efficiently and smoothlyEnsure delicatessen standards are consistently improved in terms of housekeeping, merchandising, presentation and service ensuring no cross contamination of stockPlan for market changes and demands as they ariseEnsure delicatessen promotions are managed appropriatelyEnsure consistent high levels of customer service are provided at all timesEnsure all customer complaints are dealt with in the appropriate mannerTake necessary action in deli improvements following customer complaintsEnsure food preparation meets the required customer and hygiene standardsEnsure area is presented and merchandised in an effective manner while ensuring compliance with HACCP guidelinesEnsure overall customer service levels within the area are maintained at the required standardLegislationTake full care of Health and Safety of personnel in the area and ensure any risks are minimised, or where possible, eliminatedEnsure area is compliant with consumer pricing regulationsRequirementsThe ideal candidate will possess many of the below attributes:Proven ability in managing retail sales team including the following:Planning & organisingProblem solvingManaging performanceExcellent knowledge of HACCP requirements with a relevant qualificationExcellent interpersonal relationsExcellent understanding of consumer needsProven track record in achieving agreed targetsAn excellent commercial acumen with the ability to anticipate and react to market changesCommitted to continually improving standardsSelf-motivatedThe ability to work in a pressurised environmentJob Type: Full-timeWork Location: In person
