Overview:We are delighted to be working with a luxury 5-star resort in West Clare that is looking to appoint a Financial Controller to its growing Team.This hands-on role supports the Director of Finance and oversees reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and team leadership.Excellent opportunity for someone to step-up into a Financial Controller role with excellent career progression opportunities.Key responsibilities:Lead and develop a finance team of 5 people.Oversee Month-End, Accounts Payable, Payroll (weekly/monthly), Owner & membership billing, and accounts receivable.Produce monthly management accounts with clear variance analysis and commentary; prepare accruals, prepayments and balance‑sheet reconciliations.Manage weekly cashflow projections, banking operations and cash control processes.VAT preparation, support year‑end accounts and annual budget preparation.Maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships and present financial updates to management.Qualifications:ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with a minimum of 3 years PQE in the hospitality industry.Proven experience as an Assistant Financial Controller / Financial Controller in a luxury hotel or resort.Strong commercial, analytical and technical skills; highly proficient in Excel and financial systems.Leadership experience, excellent communication, and the ability to perform under pressure with accuracy and integrity.
