Job Title: Mechanical Quantity Surveyor
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Dublin.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare cost estimates for all project phases, including preparing tender documents, contracts, drawings, Bills of Quantities (BoQs), specifications, budgets, and maintaining accurate records.
* Perform material take-offs prior to purchase requisitions for projects and report any irregularities or discrepancies to project management.
* Implement post-contract duties, including measurements, final accounts, and evaluation reports, as well as preparation of payment applications and agreeing with clients.
* Work closely with the project team to ensure that measurements, variations, and contractual matters are properly recorded and notified.
* Manage, examine, control, and evaluate subcontractor works, evaluate claims, variations, invoices, and ensure contractual obligations are satisfied.
* Evaluate quotations obtained from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring quantities and specifications align with tender and project specifications. Prepare and update material status and procurement schedules.
* Conduct meetings with clients, site managers, project managers, and site engineers to discuss project progress and requirements.
* Identify and track changes to design and project work, adjusting budgets accordingly.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Mechanical Engineering.
* 1-3+ years of experience in Quantity Surveying/Mechanical Engineering.
* Technical and practical knowledge of contract development, award, administration, and close-out relating to multi-discipline civil/construction projects.
* Capability to accept responsibilities and accomplish project objectives in a timely manner.
* Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
* Good communication skills and strong English capability.
