Reporting to: Head of Underwriting Operations
Location: Grand Canal Dock, Dublin 2
Contract: Permanent
Working model: Hybrid – two days in the office, three days working remotely in Ireland on a weekly basis; flexibility to work additional days in the office may be required depending on business demands.

About the Role
The Underwriting Operations Analyst will play a key role within the Underwriting Operations team, supporting the delivery of the underwriting strategy through operational, analytical, and administrative excellence. This role combines process improvement, reporting, and system support to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and provide insights that drive informed decision-making across Underwriting, Reinsurance and IT.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting the documentation and enhancement of underwriting processes and systems, working with IT to ensure business requirements are clearly defined and effectively implemented.
* Designing, producing, and maintaining operational reports and dashboards, providing actionable insights that inform decision-making and drive efficiency.
* Delivering ad‑hoc analysis, projects, and operational support to Underwriting and Reinsurance teams, helping to streamline processes and address emerging business needs.
* Maintaining and enhancing underwriting documentation, policies, and schedules, ensuring all materials are accurate and consistent with business standards.
* Distributing surveys, maintaining activity logs, and producing related outputs such as reports and training materials to support operational oversight.
Qualifications
* Relevant professional or third‑level qualification with at least 2 years’ experience in an insurance environment.
* Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
* Proficiency in Excel, reporting tools, and underwriting systems.
* Clear communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
* Attention to detail, adaptability, and problem‑solving skills to support process improvements and ad‑hoc projects.
