Parker Stewart are supporting a market leading engineering company in their search for a Piping Engineer to support them at the commissioning & completions stages of LNG power Plant in Dublin West.About the RoleWe are searching for a highly skilled Piping Engineer to join our engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the design, layout, and analysis of piping systems in various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations while optimizing for cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed piping designs, specifications, and layouts using advanced engineering software and tools.Conduct stress analysis and flexibility evaluations to ensure the integrity of piping systems under various conditions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, civil, and electrical engineers, to integrate piping designs with other project components.Review and approve vendor drawings and documentation to ensure adherence to project requirements.Provide technical guidance and support during the construction phase, addressing any design-related issues that arise.Participate in project planning, cost estimation, and risk assessment activities to achieve project milestones on time and within budget.QualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in piping design and engineering in industries such as oil & gas, petrochemicals, or power generation.Proficiency in using CAD software.Strong understanding of relevant piping codes and standards.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Preferred:Experience with 3D modelling software for piping design.Professional Engineer qualifications or similar certification.Familiarity with project management methodologies and software.Skills:RequiredIn-depth knowledge of piping materials, fabrication processes, and installation techniques.Experience with pressure vessel design and related calculations.Proficiency in thermal and hydraulic analysis of piping systems.PreferredExceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with team members and stakeholders.A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement.A team-oriented mindset, with the ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.If this role is of intertest to you please apply now or contact Ciaran Bergin in Parker Stewart with any questions you may have.
