The Health and Safety Advisor will play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to project safety management systems, statutory provisions, and environmental plans.
1. Adhere to the project safety management system and relevant statutory provisions.
2. Coordinate task-specific method statements, risk assessments, and safe plans of action.
3. Comply with project execution plans and coordinate safety indicators.
4. Maintain good health and safety practices, manage hazardous substances, and conduct COSHH assessments.
Key qualifications include a relevant qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety and 3-5 years' experience managing EHS on large construction sites.
A successful Health and Safety Advisor will work collaboratively as part of a team, providing safety input to site management and coordinating Mercury Engineering induction and training.
They will also ensure that sub-contractors adhere to project and group EHS policies and procedures, and maintain accurate records of statutory inspections.
