Civil Engineering Professional Opportunity
This role offers a chance to work with a leading civil & structural engineering consultancy across Ireland. The company is renowned for delivering high-quality engineering solutions across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* As a Civil Technician, you will develop technical, management, and commercial skills.
* You will be responsible for preparing civil infrastructure drawings, details, and site development plans.
* Deliver project drawings to required standards in a timely manner, reporting to the project manager.
* Oversee and check standards on project drawings by junior technicians.
* The ideal candidate will have experience in producing 2D drawings in AutoCAD and 3D model designs in Autodesk Civil 3D.
* Carry out site inspections and attend Design Team meetings.
* Work according to the company's ISO procedures.
* Prepare risk assessments and health & safety plans.
* Demonstrate efficient work practices, ensuring effective use of resources.
* Develop staff skills through mentoring, delegation, and training.
* Ensure high-quality output and assist engineers in production of engineering drawings and schedules.
Requirements:
* A Higher Certificate (NFQ Level 6) in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
* Knowledge and experience of AutoCad 2D & AutoDesk Civil 3D are essential.
* Leadership skills to plan, manage, and direct resources to solve complex problems in multidisciplinary teams.
* Strong commercial understanding and application.
* A successful track record working closely in partnership with clients, contractors, and other design team members.
* Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
* Appreciation of the full Project Delivery Process. A positive, proactive approach with an ability to adapt to changing scenarios.
