Background
Moog Ireland Ltd. is located in Ringaskiddy, six miles outside Cork City, and currently employs 190+ people. As part of Moog SDG, the plant is a corporate electronics manufacturing & design facility for Moog SDG worldwide, supporting a large range of electronic products and technologies. Due to ongoing expansion caused by transfer of new products into Ireland and optimisation of existing products, the following opportunity has arisen.
Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Development Engineering Technician selected will have responsibility for general support to the design group engineers. This typically will involve
* Setting up test equipment for use by the engineers
* Building of prototype circuits & controllers
* Design verification testing of circuits / controllers under minimal engineering direction
* Design and build of test boxes for cards and top level assemblies
* Support group with project documentation and test report generation
* Maintain older unreleased products
* Troubleshoot and identify problems on new designs
* Modify prototypes after problem identification and test for resolution
* Contribute to lab maintenance
* Purchase, calibration and repair of lab equipment
Qualifications
Minimum:
Certificate in Electronics Engineering
Preferred

Diploma in Electronic Engineering
Experience
Minimum
* Two years experience in a mixed (analogue, digital & power circuits) test environment.
Advantage
* Experience of working on design projects.
* Knowledge of DC/DC Circuits
* Experience of working with Brushless Motor and controllers
