We're looking for a General Warehouse Operative to join our team.
This is a full-time position responsible for the critical first step in our supply chain—ensuring all incoming deliveries are accurate and in perfect condition.
Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee daily warehouse operations:
This includes managing inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation, checking off deliveries and ensuring the goods inwards area & warehouse are cleared every evening.
Also includes coordinating their team as well as other departments to ensure that items are received, stored, picked, packed correctly.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures:
This includes implementing and enforcing safety regulations, quality standards, and other operational guidelines.
Ensuring that the warehouse is free of hazards, following safety protocols, and maintaining high standards of housekeeping.
Manage inventory levels:
This involves ensuring accurate stock counts & conducting cycle counts
Handle administrative tasks:
This includes completing paperwork, maintaining records, and providing support for other warehouse functions.
Communication:
Maintaining clear and effective communication with team members, other departments, and management.
Customer service:
Ensuring that the warehouse team provides excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
Requirements:
Must have a forklift licence.
Experience with a pallet truck and stacker pallet truck an advantage.
Good literacy and numeracy skills.
