About Us:
Join Wicklow Community Services based out of Wicklow Town in providing exceptional home care services to clients within Co. Wicklow. We seek a dedicated Community Nurse with a focus on building out Clinical Care to play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality home-based healthcare.
This is a new role within the organisation and we are seeking a candidate comfortable building this role.
This role will be based 70% within the community and 30% in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Homecare Manager and Clara Learning to ensure adherence to clinical governance standards.
* Provide clinical expertise at Health and Safety Committee meetings.
* Ensure annual updating of care plans and oversee care plan delivery.
* Lead the team in setting up services and conducting risk assessments.
* Support inspection and observation of care staff roles.
* Attend necessary meetings to contribute clinical insights.
* Provide monthly reports on service performance.
* Contribute to the quality of care delivery and future direction.
* Prepare for statutory home care regulations and ensure compliance.
* Develop clinical pathways for stoma care, catheter care, and clinical guidance for management and staff.
Requirements:
* Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
* Minimum 5 years post-registration experience.
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
* Knowledge of HIQA Standards and draft Homecare Regulations.
* Driving license and full access to a car (Mileage pay will be provided)
* Clean record and willingness to undergo Garda vetting.
Desirable Criteria:
* Post-registration education in care of older adults/gerontology (level 8 or above).
Personal Specification:
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, and leadership skills.
* Demonstrated ability in clinical practice, education, audit, research, and decision-making.
* Commitment to providing quality care service and professional development.
Terms and Conditions:
* Two-year fixed-term contract with a standard working week of 37.5 hours.
* Salary scale: €52,000 per annum (full-time).
* Annual leave: 25 days.
* Probationary period: 6 months.
* Designation under the Vulnerable Adult Safeguarding 2014.
