This position offers exposure to a broad range of insurance clients across life and non-life insurance, reinsurance, captives and insurance intermediaries.You will have the opportunity to work with both domestic and international clients and collaborate with colleagues across the wider Grant Thornton network.We are seeking motivated, proactive individuals who can manage the planning, execution and delivery of audit engagements across a diverse insurance client portfolio.Position PurposeAs an Audit Senior in Insurance, you will lead and deliver high-quality audits for insurance entities, supervise junior team members, act as a key client contact and contribute to continuous improvement across our audit methodology and tools.Main ResponsibilitiesAssist in planning and executing insurance audit engagements, including risk assessment, audit programme development and fieldworkDeliver audits in accordance with professional standards and firm policiesSupervise junior audit staff, providing direction, support and guidance throughout the audit processReview work completed by team members for accuracy, quality and completeness, providing constructive feedbackAct as a key point of contact for clients during audit engagements, responding to queries and providing regular updatesEnsure audit documentation and reports meet firm standardsMaintain a strong understanding of insurance accounting and industry developmentsParticipate in training programmes to enhance technical skills and sector knowledgeSupport the development and mentoring of junior team members through on-the-job coachingSkills and AttributesMinimum 3 years' experience in external audit, ideally with insurance or financial services exposureQualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent)Strong technical accounting and auditing skillsExperience working with a portfolio of insurance clients is an advantageAbility to work on own initiative and manage multiple prioritiesStrong interpersonal and communication skillsHigh attention to detail with strong analytical abilityLife at GTOur reward and benefits are designed to create an environment where our people can flourish.
