We are recruiting a Senior Mechanical Project Manager to join our client on-site as the delivery team on a major pharmaceutical project Athlone, Co. Westmeath, Ireland. This is a contractor-side role ideal for someone who has delivered mechanical packages on regulated Life Sciences facilities and is comfortable owning installation, commissioning readiness, programme and cost.

Key responsibilities
* Lead mechanical project delivery from design coordination through installation to handover.
* Manage planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
* Manage internal functions (BIM/engineering/QA/procurement) and subcontractor performance.
* Drive site execution through proactive issue resolution, progress monitoring, and quality/safety leadership.
* Build strong working relationships with client stakeholders while maintaining a contractor delivery focus.
* Ensure full compliance with relevant legislation, codes and H standardsli>
* Provide weekly progress reports to the client and engineering leads, and monthly reports to senior management.
* Identify project risks early, implement contingencies, and support site strategy with directors and site managers.
What we are looking for
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent mechanical background.
* 5+ years as a Project/Contracts Manager in mechanical/HVAC delivery, plus substantial prior project engineering experience.
* Clear contractor-side track record delivering mechanical scopes on pharmaceutical / Life Sciences projects in regulated environments.
* Strong technical understanding of mechanical, HVAC and process systems including installation and operational requirements.
* Excellent project controls capability (programme, cost, risk, change).
* Confident communicator who can lead teams and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
*Willingness to travel within Europe occasionally; full driving license required.
