Integration Reliability Engineer, Technical Operations
We are seeking an Integration Reliability Engineer for our Technical Operations team at Stripe. What you’ll do
Responsibilities
* Become a domain expert in Radar and other areas of the Payment Performance & Fraud stack.
* Handle inquiries from internal Stripe teams and external partners’ technical teams with detailed investigation and code changes as needed.
* Organize and direct complex technical changes as part of product releases and merchant migrations.
* Identify and automate inefficient or unnecessary manual processes by making direct code changes or coordinating more complex code changes across Stripe.
* Design alerting systems using existing tools to respond to incidents quickly or prevent them altogether.
* Conduct data analysis to understand the impact of merchant configurations for Radar and surface future product opportunities.
* Execute coding tasks and manage projects, leveraging strong technical and communication skills.
Who you are
* Have at least 2 years of industry experience.
* Knowledge of and experience with payment technologies and ecosystems.
* Ability to write high‑quality code; we work mainly in Ruby and Java, but code skill is more important than any particular language.
* Comfort using SQL to navigate data and diagnose the scope and urgency of issues.
* Comfort with developer tools (e.g., git) and making well‑scoped code changes in our codebase.
* Great technical problem‑solving skills, using code, documentation, debugging, logs, and raw data analysis.
* Excellent communication skills, framing messages for technical and non‑technical audiences.
* The will to deliver results, prioritizing and executing solutions under hard deadlines.
* An instinct to produce work that increases the impact of others and helps us scale and grow (e.g., documentation, tooling).
In‑office expectations
Office‑assigned Stripe employees are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary by role, team, and location. For example, employees in Bucharest, Romania have an 80% in‑office expectation; those in the Stripe Delivery Center in Mexico City, Mexico and Bengaluru, India work 100% from the office.
Pay and benefits
The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is €72,000 – €108,000. Compensation may include equity, company bonus, and additional benefits such as retirement plans, health benefits, and wellness stipends. Pay and benefits vary by location and can be discussed in detail during the interview process.
