Overview
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Executive to join the expanding sales team of our client, a leading IT organisation with offices in Rathfarnham, Dublin. This brand new role is based out of the Dublin office, with potential travel to events and conferences as well as new customers all across Ireland. You will join a team of 3 Account Managers and there is huge opportunity for advancement into client relationship management within 18-24 months.
Needless to say, this role will suit you if you enjoy working with people, managing your own diary, meeting targets and being rewarded for your sales with a competitive commission structure. An excellent telephone manner, good IT skills and a flair for closing deals are all necessary in this role. Responsibilities
* Sell solutions to businesses with a portfolio including laptops / headphones / IT hardware and software, offered by the Irish company.
* Engage in business development activities consisting of phone calls, emails, meetings with new clients, and attendance at meetings and networking events.
* Manage a mix of warm leads (25%) and cold leads (75%) and follow up on all sales activities. All leads, information and sales activity are tracked in Hubspot CRM.
* Travel is required for visits to potential customers and events; mix of office-based and on-the-road activity.
* Collaborate with a team of 3 Account Managers and pursue progression into client relationship management within 18-24 months.
Qualifications
* At least 2 years of telesales / field sales / business development experience.
* Experience selling IT solutions and a portfolio of products (e.g., HP, Xerox) is preferred.
* Ability to present IT hardware and software solutions to businesses in a reliable, cost-effective way.
* 3+ years’ experience in selling solutions to businesses is advantageous.
* Excellent telephone manner, good IT skills, and a proactive, can-do attitude.
* Relevant IT sales experience is desirable.
