Senior SAP APO / Production Planning Consultant

€480-€530 per day depending on experience
We are seeking an experienced SAP APO / Production Planning Consultant to support ongoing planning and supply chain operations within a complex SAP landscape. This role will focus on demand planning, supply network planning, and production planning processes, ensuring stable system performance and effective business support during a defined coverage period. The successful candidate will work closely with supply chain, manufacturing, and logistics stakeholders to maintain and enhance planning solutions across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Provide functional support across SAP APO modules including Demand Planning (DP), Supply Network Planning (SNP), and Production Planning / Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS)
Support day‑to‑day planning operations and resolve system or process issues
Analyse planning data and recommend improvements to forecasting, supply balancing, and scheduling processes
Support master data management related to planning and supply chain execution
Ensure production and supply plans are aligned with business demand and operational capacity
Monitor planning runs and troubleshoot inconsistencies or performance issues
Support integration between APO and core SAP ECC / S4 modules
Collaborate with Order Management teams to ensure accurate order flow through planning and fulfillment processes
Support shipping and logistics processes including outbound delivery coordination and supply alignment
Assist in resolving issues impacting order fulfillment, inventory levels, or distribution planning
Work closely with business users, planners, and operations teams to gather requirements and provide functional guidance
Participate in testing, system validation, and documentation updates
Provide knowledge transfer and documentation to ensure continuity of support
Required Experience
Strong hands‑on experience with SAP APO, specifically Demand Planning (DP), Supply Network Planning (SNP), Production Planning / Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS)
Experience supporting end‑to‑end supply chain planning processes
Exposure to Order Management, Shipping, and Logistics processes within SAP
Ability to troubleshoot planning and integration issues across modules
Experience working in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment
Desirable
Experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA integration
Previous experience in manufacturing or distribution environments
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
