Job Summary:
Jigsaw Clinicians provide short-term therapeutic supports to young people aged 12-25 years experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
About the Role:
* Initial assessments with young people focus on strengths and difficulties.
* Evidence-informed brief therapeutic interventions are provided to young people.
* Risk assessments and risk management plans are conducted as necessary.
* Clinical supervision and line management are participated in for support and guidance.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
* Doctorate or equivalent in Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychology, or Chartered Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychologist through PSI.
* Mental Health Nurse registered with An Bord Altranais.
* Social Worker registered with CORU.
* Occupational Therapist registered with CORU.
* Psychotherapist accredited by the Irish Council for Psychotherapy (ICP) or the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP).
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience working therapeutically with young people.
* Applying core clinical/therapeutic skills; assessment, formulation, risk management, intervention, and evaluation in mental health roles/settings.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Time management skills and ability to manage a busy workload.
* Capacity to work cooperatively as part of a team.
