We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Services Engineer to join our Technical Team based in Kingscourt, Co. Cavan.
In this customer-facing role, you will work closely with internal technical teams across the division, providing industry-leading technical support and embracing digital technologies to enhance the customer experience. You will support customers across a wide range of construction-related technical queries and play a key role in project specification and design support.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a technical point of contact for customers on a wide range of
construction industry
topics
* Provide technical support to both transactional and non-transactional customers when specifying products
* Advise on product performance including
fire performance, environmental impact, thermal, structural and acoustic performance
* Carry out design calculations using company-provided software, including:
* Gutter design calculations
* Fastener calculations and panel span checks
* Acoustic performance calculations
* U-value and condensation risk assessments
* Develop in-house CAD details and bespoke project-specific design details
* Support the digital specification service, working closely with the BIM team
* Provide bespoke design support to architects via
AutoCAD, Revit, and other 3D software
, including augmented reality presentations
* Deliver virtual consultations and follow-up face-to-face meetings with architects, engineers, and contractors as required
* Proactively capture and upload opportunities to
Salesforce
to support the external sales team
* Support junior team members and contribute to departmental projects
About You
* Previous experience in the
construction industry
* Relevant qualification in
Architectural Technology, Engineering
, or a related discipline
* Experience with
AutoCAD, Revit, and/or Tekla
is highly desirable
* Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
* A proactive, customer-focused approach with strong technical problem-solving skills
