Job Title: Advanced Radar Engineer
The Faculty of Engineering seeks to recruit a Post-Doctoral Research Engineer to support its research in advanced radar-based health monitoring technologies.
Job Description
* To design, test and validate radar signal processing techniques for non-contact physiological monitoring.
* To develop millimeter-wave MIMO radar technology for detecting vital signs such as heart rate and respiration.
* To collaborate with Principal Investigators, Directors of the Centre of Research and Enterprise in Engineering (engCORE), and the Director of Engineering Research & Innovation to advance healthcare sensing applications using radar-based technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
The successful candidate will have experience in experimental design, data collection, algorithm development and prototype validation. A strong background in Radar Signal Processing, Biomedical Sensing or Machine Learning is essential.
The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with industry partners supervising postgraduate students preparing technical reports publishing research findings contributing to funding proposals.
