Job Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer at RapidRatings, you will design, develop, and deploy scalable, reliable, and high‑performance applications. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams—including product, UX/UI, and stakeholders—to define requirements and deliver solutions that meet customer needs.
Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable and robust software applications using Python with microservices.
Architect and implement data models, APIs, and backend services to support the SaaS platform.
Utilize PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and other database technologies to store, retrieve, and analyze data efficiently.
Lead technical discussions, design reviews, and code reviews to ensure best practices and high‑quality code.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their growth and development.
Collaborate with product management, UX/UI designers, and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions that meet customer needs.
Deploy and manage applications on AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
Drive continuous improvement through agile methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities to enhance software capabilities.
Qualifications
Proven experience in software development with expertise in Python, microservices, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and SQS.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
Leadership experience, with the ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior team members.
Proficiency in agile methodologies and experience working in an agile development environment.
Experience with Neo4j or other graph databases is a strong plus.
Experience with SaaS (Software as a Service) products is a plus.
