Working Schedule:This role requires weekends and evening availability. All contracts will be 20 Hours on a fixed patterns, all hours above 16 hours will be rostered on a flexible basis.PurposeTo deliver a great shopping experience for our customers, we are looking for colleagues who put customers before tasks every time whilst championing and promoting our brilliant products. As the face of the business, you will be the voice of our customers helping us to continually improve.Key AccountabilitiesThe Key Accountabilities describe the activities you will do within your role:CustomerCreate an exceptional customer experience by proactively serving our customers and role modelling the service behavioursAlways put the customer first and prioritise customer before taskDeliver an inspiring shopping environment for our customers through excellent standards of product presentation and availabilityInvolvement in Plan A activity to support store and local community initiativesSellingSell confidently to customers using your knowledge of products and services to sell more in store and through all digital channelsAsk questions to understand the needs of the customer and actively offer personal recommendations and suggestionsActively take part in store events to achieve selling targets.Create selling opportunities at all service pointsStoreUnderstand the store business priorities and play your part to improving the store performanceFollow safe and legal working practicesMake every penny count by working productively and minimise losses throughout the storeDeliver all key activity and operational processes within your areas of responsibility and look for opportunities to work efficiently and continuously improveTeamAdapt and work flexibly across the store and remove support your colleagues to meet customer and business needsOwn your personal development, continuing to look for opportunities to grow your knowledgeShare your knowledge and experience with your colleagues to encourage and support their learning and development and promote the performance of the teamEveryone's WelcomeM&S is ready to push boundaries to lead the retail industry into a greener, speedier, more inspiring digital era.
