Orange Recruitment are currently recruiting an MEP Coordinator to join a leading Main Contractor on a high-profile project. This role is perfect for someone looking to further their experience in managing complex mechanical and electrical installations across all phases of construction. Responsibilities: Take the lead on coordinating all Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health services throughout the full project lifecycle-from design and planning through to commissioning and handover. Work closely with the design team during pre-construction to ensure all technical requirements and specifications are captured and aligned with the project timeline. Oversee and manage connections to utilities, ensuring everything is in place to support timely progress on site. Maintain clear lines of communication between consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to track technical submissions and ensure timely resolution of design queries. Monitor the quality of installations at each stage, confirming compliance with approved designs and project specifications. Lead regular coordination meetings with subcontractors and suppliers to align site activities and resolve any clashes or interface issues. Support and supervise commissioning stages, ensuring systems are fully operational and tested to required standards. Provide regular updates and reporting on MEP progress to the wider project team, highlighting key risks, milestones, and completed work. Manage and log any changes or discrepancies between technical documents and actual site conditions. Ensure that all work adheres to BCAR regulations, safety protocols, and industry standards. Oversee preparation and coordination of Safety File documentation for client handover. Assist in delivering technical demonstrations and walkthroughs of MEP systems for the client and other stakeholders. Requirements: Degree or professional certification in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in an MEP coordination role within the construction sector. Familiarity with working on large-scale commercial or mixed-use developments is desirable. Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools; working knowledge of BIM software is a strong advantage. Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, models, and specifications. Strong organisational and planning capabilities with excellent attention to detail. Effective communicator with the ability to liaise confidently with colleagues, subcontractors, and client representatives.
