Overview
We're looking for a C# .NET Developer to join a dynamic Agile development team working on modern, scalable software solutions. This role offers the opportunity to design, build, and maintain enterprise applications that power critical business operations, using the latest Microsoft technologies in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
You'll contribute to the full development lifecycle - from design and coding through to deployment and optimisation - while working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver quality software that makes an impact.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using C#, Core, and Entity Framework.
2. Build and integrate RESTful APIs to connect systems and services.
3. Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following SOLID principles and best practices.
4. Participate in code reviews, ensuring high-quality standards across the team.
5. Collaborate with Product Owners and team members in an Agile/Scrum environment.
6. Troubleshoot and optimise application performance across environments.
7. Contribute to continuous improvement in processes, tools, and development practices.
8. Stay up to date with evolving .NET and cloud technologies to propose and implement enhancements.
Required Skills & Experience
9. 2+ years' experience in software development using C# and .NET (Framework or Core).
10. Strong knowledge of Core, Entity Framework, and SQL Server.
11. Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
12. Familiarity with Visual Studio, Git, and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or similar).
13. Strong understanding of object-oriented design and software architecture principles.
14. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, team-oriented approach.
15. Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Desirable Skills
16. Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript or front-end frameworks (Angular/React).
17. Exposure to cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure.
18. Experience with automated testing or TDD.
19. Previous exposure to large-scale or enterprise-level projects.
Work Environment
Hybrid role based in Kildare, with an expectation of 3+ days per week on-site and flexibility for remote work the rest of the week.
