The Foundation is undertaking an exciting project to build a new, state-of-the-art support centre in Limerick City.The Role:The General Manager will lead and manage the Mid-Western Cancer Foundation Support Centre, ensuring the delivery of holistic care for patients with cancer, supporting research, and leading fundraising efforts for the new centre project.Essential Experience / Skills:Experience managing and motivating a team in a client-facing environmentExperience managing budgetsStakeholder engagement skills with experience influencing at senior levelsProficiency in ICT applications including Word, Excel, and online data management systemsFluency in verbal and written EnglishExperience preparing and monitoring grant applicationsExperience sourcing funding and managing community-raised fundsExperience leading and managing volunteers and contractorsKnowledge of compliance with the Charities Act 2009Main Responsibilities and Duties:1. Human Resources and Financial ManagementManage staff, therapists, counsellors, CE workers, and volunteersSupport team motivation and developmentDelegate tasks and empower staffOversee recruitment, training, and appraisalsMonitor expenditure and ensure financial compliance2. Operations and Service Delivery:Ensure compliance with best practices and policiesManage resources, scheduling, and client appointmentsMaintain confidentiality and oversee administration, payroll, and reportingHandle complaints and develop website and social media content3. Centre Development and Fundraising:Contribute to strategic growth and the delivery of the business planLead fundraising activities and build partnershipsAssist with marketing and public relations4. Other Duties:Represent MWCF in national and regional meetingsPrepare reports and statisticsSupport grant applications and good practice initiativesPerform other duties as directed by the Board
