Position
Two Apprentice Lift Engineers (full‑time) in the Repairs/Maintenance team in Galway, Ireland. The role involves learning lift engineering under experienced Lift Engineers, progressing through a 4‑year Electrical apprenticeship supported by SOLAS.
What You Need To Be Successful
Complete a 4‑year Electrical apprenticeship, with a structured in‑house development programme in conjunction with SOLAS.
Complete tasks suited to your current training level in the lift industry.
Attend SOLAS coursework and complete it on time to a high standard.
Assist and liaise with Managers/Supervisors on relevant work activities.
Understand and apply electrical principles for lift installation and maintenance of all electrical equipment and systems.
Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety practices in current legislation.

Excellent communication skills.
Positive, can‑do attitude with high level of commitment and motivation.
Pass the Ishihara Colour Vision Test.

Requirements / Application Conditions
Qualified to the Leaving Certificate or equivalent standard, including five passes with Maths and English among them.
Submit an Ishihara colour vision test on the SOLAS form.
Ideally hold a Full Clean Irish Driving Licence; provide Commercial Use Car Insurance Cover on your vehicle used for business travel.
Meet all minimum entry requirements for an Electrical Apprenticeship.
