People Director Job Overview
As a strategic partner to our leadership team, the Director of People Operations will shape and execute our organisation's people strategy.
About the Role
* Develop and deliver a comprehensive people strategy that drives business growth and engagement.
* Partner with senior stakeholders to establish a consistent approach to talent acquisition, succession planning, performance management, and employee engagement.
* Lead and manage employee relations across multiple sites, including pay negotiations and organisational change.
* Design and implement talent development and succession plans to support business objectives.
Main Responsibilities
1. Advise leaders on strategic people matters, fostering a high-performance culture and engaged workforce.
2. Oversee recruitment, compensation benchmarking, and reward management.
3. Identify and address training needs, ensuring strong ROI on learning initiatives.
4. Lead a team of HR professionals to deliver excellence across all HR functions, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practices.
The ideal candidate has 10+ years experience in a senior HR leadership role, preferably in a unionised manufacturing or industrial environment.
