Automated Equipment Design Engineer
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Automated Equipment Design Engineer to join our team. As part of our Equipment Engineering group, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, manufacture, document, and continuously improve equipment and tooling for the production of medical devices.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for generating equipment designs that meet manufacturing, safety, CE, and performance requirements. This includes new tooling, fixtures, automated machines, and modification/upgrades to same. You will provide technical leadership on equipment-related product and process issues and coordinate activities of a number of technicians/engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design of new equipment for manufacturing
* Providing technical leadership on equipment related product and process issues
* Co-ordinating activities of a number of technicians/engineers
* Ensuring equipment solutions are delivered within planned schedules and within budget
* Ensuring documentation/drawing standards for equipment meet requirements
* Ensuring equipment meets CE marking standards
* Working closely with internal and external machine build to ensure that the equipment is built according to specifications and is properly handed over to manufacturing
* Building quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements
* Actively participating in departmental and plant continuous improvement through participation in value improvement projects and lean business process projects as well as departmental standards etc.
Requirements:
* Level 8 degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
* Minimum of 2 years experience at senior level
* Strong skills in Solidworks Project Management automated equipment
