The Role My client, an automotive manufacturing and engineering firm is seeking an experienced Project Co-Ordinator to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Carlow. As the Project Co-Ordinator you will support the management of tooling programs by maintaining accurate project documentation, assisting with client communications, and tracking progress through internal reporting and follow-ups. Tasks & Duties Keep project documentation, timelines, checklists, and folders up to date and organised. Coordinate meetings with teams and customers, record action items, and follow up on decisions. Track project progress and key metrics, reporting updates to internal teams and stakeholders. Support new program launches, ensuring data entry, compliance, and readiness for audits. Help implement digital tools and dashboards to improve project visibility and tracking. Work with different teams to align on milestones, deliverables, and project needs. Communicate with customers, suppliers, and vendors about updates, orders, and schedules. Maintain records, filing systems, and respond to internal and external inquiries promptly. Spot gaps or inefficiencies in project tracking, processes, or purchasing, and suggest improvements. Contribute to lessons learned, post-project reviews, and support training for new team members. Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies, plant rules, and safe work practices. Report hazards, defects, non-compliance issues, incidents, or accidents to supervisors, managers, or first aiders. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow operating procedures, work instructions, and maintenance practices for all equipment and machinery. Conduct pre-use checks on equipment, machinery, and vehicles, and maintain a clean, organised work area in line with housekeeping and 5S standards. Support safety investigations and continuous improvement of workplace safety practices. Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications Diploma, degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in manufacturing, automotive, or technical environments. Strong organisational skills with experience maintaining accurate documentation and records. Comfortable using Excel, MS Project, ERP systems, or other project management tools. Detail-oriented with the ability to analyse information and report on project progress. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to work effectively with multiple teams in a fast-paced environment. Skilled at managing multiple priorities and following through on tasks independently. Proactive and willing to support new system implementations and process improvements. Basic understanding of procurement, purchasing, or vendor coordination is a plus.
