SENIOR AREA MANAGER, FULL PRICE IRELAND
About the Role
The Senior Area Manager reports to the Director of Full Price & Concessions and owns the strategy to deliver business value across the Full Price & Concessions Irish business.
Responsibilities
Drive all stores to align with the business directive and identify commercial opportunities.
Support stores in delivering the business plan and coach them to achieve milestones.
Apply a flexible approach across brands, translating operational processes accordingly.
Ensure store teams have clear objectives for staff scheduling and payroll, aligned with budgets and trading patterns.
Allocate time across locations to focus on sales, operating income and internal issues.
Communicate retail objectives to all levels and review progress with individuals and teams.
Conduct effective store visits focused on targets and service, providing feedback to management and identifying higher-level commercial opportunities.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity and make informed commercial decisions with the Director and VP Retail Hub North.
Drive store managers to implement and maintain housekeeping standards, operations manual, health-and-safety guidance and merchandising best practice.
Ensure all locations uphold equipment and system standards to company specification.
Promote ownership and pride in the store environment to maximize the customer shopping experience.
Consistently exceed expected results.
Use KPIs to drive overall channel store profit and sales growth.
Reduce costs through effective payroll and controllable expense management, investing in performance-driving areas.
Manage external contractors to reduce costs while maintaining high standards of work and service.
About You
Senior commercial leader within a successful retail business.
Comfortable managing multiple sites across a country or multiple countries.
Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to build collaborative relationships.
Proven track record of leading, coaching and developing teams to inspire trust and cultivate belonging.
Creative, commercially aware and confident decision maker.
Think big when creating country/channel strategy, analysing trends and making data-driven decisions.
Act with purpose, executing strategy from concept to reality with clear planning and milestones.
Advocate for service, consistently connecting to the consumer.
Adapt quickly to the evolving retail landscape and move forward with a structured plan.
Set clear expectations for all team members and manage performance effectively.
Excellent communicator, conveying complex information compellingly across all levels.
Comfortable with regular travel within the country and across Hub North.
