Matrix Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Accounts Manager to join an SME based in Carlow.
This is a key position responsible for managing the day-to-day finance function while also supporting the development of improved systems and processes across the business.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with hybrid working and flexible hours available.
Your new job
Key duties and responsibilities:
* Manage the company’s finance and accounting function including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Credit Control.
* Prepare accurate P&L, Balance Sheet, and monthly management accounts.
* Oversee invoicing, reconciliations, and cash flow management.
* Ensure compliance with government reporting requirements and tax filings.
* Administer and process payroll using Sage Payroll.
* Support the introduction and enhancement of financial systems and procedures.
* Provide financial insights to management to support decision-making.
* Maintain compliance with employment, health & safety, and financial regulations.
What are we looking for?
* Strong background in an accounts management or senior accounting role (formal qualification not required).
* Experience across AR, AP, Payroll, and reporting.
* Knowledge of Irish tax compliance.
* Excellent working knowledge of Sage and payroll systems.
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
* Comfortable introducing and embedding new processes.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a small team.
