Seeking an accomplished Scientist to drive medical device product development in a leading Medical Devices company based in Ireland. As a key member of our Research and Development team, you will play a vital role in driving innovation and excellence.
The ideal candidate will have a strong scientific background, excellent analytical skills, and experience with ELISA's, Western Blotting, or Laboratory Diagnostics. They should also possess strong project management skills, be able to work independently as an individual contributor, and demonstrate a high level of technical expertise.
Key responsibilities include:
* Project Management: Oversee the development of new medical device products for the lab, managing product and process improvements independently.
* Improvements: Monitor processes, identify trends, and implement solutions to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
* Risk Management: Maintain and evaluate risk management files to ensure compliance and mitigate potential risks.
* Investigations: Lead investigations, resolve issues, and support audits to maintain quality standards.
* Technical Support: Design experiments, analyze data, and recommend actions to drive product development.
* Knowledge Sharing: Present findings and mentor team members to promote knowledge sharing and collaboration.
* Results Focus: Ensure product availability and drive cost-effective improvements to meet business objectives.
To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess:
* A relevant third-level qualification in a scientific/technical field or equivalent experience.
* A minimum of 2 years' related experience or an advanced degree preferred (PhD).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Proficiency in experimental, statistical, and project management tools.
