Role Overview
As a
Junior Project Manager
, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of multiple FTTH projects. You'll work closely with senior project managers, contractors, and cross-functional teams to ensure that project milestones, budgets, and quality standards are met. This role offers a strong development path for a motivated individual eager to progress within the telecoms and infrastructure space.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in planning, coordinating, and delivering FTTH projects within agreed timelines and budgets.
* Support the management of project documentation, reporting, and progress tracking.
* Liaise with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
* Monitor project risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate as needed to senior project managers.
* Assist with resource scheduling, materials management, and site readiness coordination.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Participate in project review meetings, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Maintain accurate records of project progress using project management tools and systems.
Skills & Experience Required
* 2+ years' experience
in a project coordination or junior project management role (telecoms, utilities, or construction preferred).
* Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall).
* Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with high attention to detail.
* Confident communicator with the ability to build strong working relationships at all levels.
* Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel and Project (experience with MS Project, Primavera, or similar is a plus).
* Knowledge of FTTH, fibre networks, or civil engineering environments is highly desirable.
* Relevant project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2 Foundation, CAPM, or equivalent) advantageous.
