Employment Adviser (Roscommon) 6 month maternity cover
Due to our continuing success in the National Employment service, we are currently recruiting for an Employment Adviser on a 6-month temporary contract to join our team in an exciting opportunity to make a real difference.
You can become an Employment Adviser if you have excellent customer service skills gained from sales, recruitment, hospitality, or advising and guidance roles.
We provide excellent on-the-job training, so we are not looking for someone who ticks every box, but for someone with an engaging personality, a warm and welcoming demeanor, and the ability to seek solutions to help our customers progress into sustainable employment.
This role allows you to utilize your current skills to influence, support, and encourage others to build a future.
Employment Advisers provide motivational support, career advice, and guidance to clients, helping them overcome barriers and build confidence. They conduct training workshops on topics like CV writing and online job searching. They assess skills and ambitions and explore learning and work opportunities, acting as an intermediary with local employers.

Location: Roscommon
Hours: 37.5 hours/week, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday (full-time) - 6-month temporary contract

Key Responsibilities
* Assess individual client needs and create personal progression plans
* Meet with clients regularly to review progress
* Support clients throughout their engagement
* Deliver exceptional customer service at all times
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
* Leaving Certificate or equivalent (minimum); a third-level degree is desirable but not essential
* At least one year experience in recruitment, sales, training, or a customer-facing role
* Experience working in a target-oriented environment
* Ability to multi-task, organize, and manage workload effectively
* Positive, enthusiastic problem-solving attitude with a 'can-do' mindset
* Full IT literacy, especially Microsoft Office
