Do you have at least 5 years’ experience in Data Engineering? We are recruiting Azure Data Engineers to design, develop, and maintain robust database systems and data pipelines. Work with cloud and on-premises ETL tools, create and manage SQL objects, and build scalable data solutions, including star schemas and master data management frameworks. You will also develop BI reports, reusable pipelines, and data warehouse objects while ensuring code quality through DevOps practices and unit testing. Additionally, you will support product processes by maintaining efficient, high-performance data systems.
Key responsibilities of the role:
* Developing and updating ETL processes/pipelines, using various cloud and on-prem ETL tools
* Writing and updating SQL objects, including stored procedures, tables, views
* Creating and updating reports using various BI reporting tools
* Creating, updating and maintaining star schema
* Creating and maintaining solutions for master/reference data
* Creating, updating reusable pipelines and warehouse objects
* Creating, updating and checkin/checkout code using various DevOps tools
* Building and maintaining database systems
* Collaborating with a range of stakeholders, from data analysts to business SMEs
* Act as a consultant to our clients
* Lead high-performing teams, coordinating contributions of other specialists to complete projects
* Excellent verbal and written English
YOUR PROFILE
* Hold an honours degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field
* Minimum 5 years professional experience, working as a Data Engineer:
* building and maintaining database systems
* Implementing data management practices: data profiling, sourcing, cleansing; including standardisation, transformation, rationalisation, linking and matching
* High proficiency with SQL and T-SQL
* High proficiency with Python, C#
* Write stored procedures
* Develop warehousing solutions, and using ETL (Extract, Transfer, Load) tools e.g. ADF, SSIS
* Understand basic machine learning and algorithms
* Work on different types of databases, On-Prem SQL Server, Azure SQL DB, Azure Synapse SQL Pool
* Build data models for PowerBI, SSRS and Excel
* Work with Gen 2 Azure Data Lake, Storage Account, Blobs, Azure Function, Logic App
* Create and update reusable pipelines and warehouse objects
