You’ll sit at the intersection of operations and commercial, owning carrier relationships, driving savings, and improving visibility across transport spend.The role of Carrier ManagerYou’ll take full ownership of carrier performance and procurement, ensuring the network is cost-effective, scalable, and aligned to customer needs.Key areas include:Managing relationships with a range of parcel carriers across Ireland and the UKLeading contract negotiations, rate reviews, and ongoing benchmarkingOwning carrier spend, including invoice validation and cost controlIdentifying and recovering billing discrepancies and hidden chargesReporting on performance, cost per shipment, and margin impactSupporting commercial teams with pricing and tender inputManaging procurement of operational consumables (packaging, labels, etc.)Driving continuous improvement across processes to reduce cost and improve efficiencyThis is a role where you’re expected to make an impact quickly – identifying savings opportunities and tightening cost control from day one.Experience required for the position of Carrier ManagerExperience managing carrier or courier networks within logistics, eCommerce or 3PLStrong track record of negotiating carrier contracts and rate cardsCommercially sharp, with the ability to analyse complex pricing structuresComfortable working with invoices, contracts, and detailed billing dataConfident challenging suppliers and resolving disputesExperience across procurement and supplier managementNice to have:Exposure to multi-client 3PL environmentsUnderstanding of cross-border shipping or international carrier pricingKnowledge of dimensional weight pricing or packaging optimisationWhy this role?High-impact position with clear ownership of a key cost areaOpportunity to shape carrier strategy as the business scalesBroad remit across transport, commercial, andprocurementFast-growing, entrepreneurial environmentIf this sounds like an opportunity for you, please apply here or share your CV with holly@pod-talent.com .
