The Maintenance Technician is crucial for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of Ornua’s operations. You will maintain and optimize equipment, minimize downtime, and support a safe working environment through active participation in Health & Safety systems. Your involvement in continuous improvement initiatives will foster innovation and enhance performance, while ensuring compliance with technical and food hygiene standards to uphold quality and safety.
This role requires shift work.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
* Support the H&S system through proactive participation.
* Responsible for asset performance and maintenance.
* Complete preventative and reactive tasks as assigned by the Engineering Lead.
* Work with operational and engineering teams to meet site KPIs.
* Manage and execute projects.
* Drive and support continuous improvement programs.
* Be an active member of the site engineering team.
* Participate in employee development and performance management.
* Engage in training and value-adding tasks from training sessions.
* Ensure compliance with technical and food hygiene standards to meet quality and safety standards.
Requirements:
* A recognized Electrical Qualification.
* Experience in high-speed facilities and familiarity with packaging machines is desirable.
* Experience with automation systems such as Siemens PLCs, HMI, SCADA, and instrumentation is desirable.
* Knowledge of process control systems including pumps, valves, and instruments.
* Experience working with utilities like gas boilers, compressed air, and refrigeration.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
* Flexibility to work various shifts.
* Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
