Job Title: Support Worker
The role of a support worker is to assist individuals with intellectual disabilities in meeting their day-to-day needs, promoting independence, and participating actively in their community.
* Assist individuals with personal care tasks, including meal preparation, hygiene, and physical well-being.
* Support individuals in developing their own individual plans and achieving their personal outcome goals.
* Provide assistance with education and skills development, both internally and externally.
Requirements:
* Candidates must have a good general education.
* A recognised qualification in the field of intellectual disability is an advantage.
* QQI Level 5 or higher is desirable.
* A minimum of one year's experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is desirable.
* Full training will be provided.
Benefits:
* Competitive salary scale (€33,699 - €45,190 per annum).
* Long Service Increment (LSI) after three years on the maximum scale.
* Additional payments for weekends, public holidays, and night duty when worked.
Working Conditions:
* Full-time hours are 78 hours a fortnight/part-time hours will vary.
* All posts are rostered over a 14-day/night duty roster.
* Opportunities for day service positions operating Monday through Friday.
