Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with management, consultant staff, staff, patients and visitors to the Hospital.
Fluency in the English language is an essential requirement for the post.
IT competent with basic PC skills Minimum of 1 year hospital experience (or similar in a customer facing role) Flexibility and can do attitude Must be willing to work a combination of nights and days.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Performing general Portering duties, including: Transporting patients throughout the hospital campus, as specified in the hospital policy Transporting specimens, medicines and portable gases as outlined in the job specification, Hospital Policies and training provided.
Check oxygen on floors and in the gas store and reorder where necessary Maintaining regular communications and Passover with the Portering Officer / Portering Supervisors colleagues Reporting any health and safety issues to the Portering Officer or relevant department Complying with all statutory legislation and department policies and procedures In order to provide effective and efficient services it is expected that the successful candidate be flexible in terms of hours days of work As a member of the Facilities Team you will be required to assist in other departments and your role may vary.
Full training will be provided Remuneration is in accordance with the salary scale approved by the Department of Health Children.
