The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow and develop in a company committed to developing talent and rewarding performance.Role Purpose:AsPrimary Design Electrical Engineeryou will be responsible for theLead Technicalsupport on projects, fromInitial EnquiryandTenderingright through toConstruction, CommissioningandEnergisationacross all company business units.The role will require an adaptable and agile individual who will work with various sections across the entire business, with a particular emphasis on theHV electrical elementsofM&E projects.While the role will be primarily focusing onM&E installationsandProjects, the successful applicant will be part of thePower & Renewables Engineeringteam affording them the opportunity to expand their knowledge and experience onElectrical Installationsup to400kV.Primary Design Electrical Engineer ResponsibilitiesIn conjunction with yourProject Team, you will be responsible for the execution of various stages of a project as follows:Produce Primary Plant designsfor thedevelopment and deliveryofHV substationprojects.Produce Engineering Reporting Documentationsuch asCTburden assessments,Control Building LightingandHeating CalculationsProduce Substation CompoundandBuilding Layout Drawings, incorporating theIrish Transmission System Operator (TSO) / Irish Distribution Network Operator (DNO)Specificationsand Employer's Requirements in theDesign Documentation.Co-operatewith internal teams such asSecondary Design, CivilandOperations Engineers, Consultants, Contractors,and clients to ensureTechnical Compliance.Produce and reviewallPrimary Plant Technical Drawings, Specifications, and documentation.Ensure designsare produced in compliance with applicable standards (IEC, IEEE, ENetc.) and regulatory requirements such as fire and evacuation regulations.Provide Technical SupportduringInstallation, Testing, andCommissioning Phases.Identify and mitigate safety andDesign Risksand resolve technical issues proactively.Necessary requirement of the Electrical Design Engineer3rd level Qualification in Electrical EngineeringMinimum of 3 years in Primary Engineering Design Design/Project Management experience on Industrial Installation projectsProfessional and commercial acumen and be capable of representing company at a senior level in meetingsDetailed understanding of HV and MV network requirements in Industrial settings, with particular emphasis on resilience and studies requirementsExperience with Energy Management Systems and integration of Automated Control systems to Electrical NetworksA proven track record of delivering projects on time and to budgetExperience of Managing Multiple Projects at the one timeStrong IT skillsA flexible and delivery focused mind-setExcellent Communicator/Strong Interpersonal skills/communicates with impactExcellent record keeper and administration skillsLeads and influences others.Innovates and leads in Mechanical/Technical activity and challenges.Plans and effectively manages projects.Solves problems analytically and acts decisivelyIs process driven and focuses on EH S and Quality Work Management Systems and ProcessesMentor and Coach to junior engineers and graduatesBenefits:Permanent positionavailable with a considerable portfolio of works for the next5+ yearsTo build your career by assisting in the delivery of'Leading Edge'Engineering Projects.To work with a vibrant, agile and multi-functional team in delivering projects on time, safely, to budget and to the required quality standards.To benefit from Company Career Development Programmes that will enhance your leadership capability.To work with the best.Excellent package on offer with room for negotiationsInterested?
