Accounts Assistant Role

This exciting opportunity is for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a growing business in County Antrim. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger, posting raw material and supplier invoices, and analysing and posting direct expenses from Credit Card Statement, Expense Claims and Petty Cash.

* Checking of supplier statements, following up on any discrepancies and payment of suppliers in accordance with agreed credit terms.

* Bank transactions and reconciliations.

* Produce and submit various Government Statutory reports such as VAT returns.

* Take responsibility for the administration of weekly payroll calculation and electronic payment of wages in accordance with contracts.

* Provide assistance with regard to parts pricing.

The ideal candidate will have previous similar experience in an accounts/finance assistant role, be detail-oriented, and possess strong IT skills. They should also be able to work well as a member of a team and independently.

A competitive salary in the region of £30-35k is offered, depending on experience. Additional benefits include private healthcare and bonus schemes. Working hours are Monday-Friday 8-5pm, with flexibility around working hours as required.
